Modeled Moment: Shape Scavenger Hunt
Identifying shapes as flat or solid is a great way to introduce your child to geometry at an early age. Set a timer and challenge your family members to find four different shapes in your home. Ask everyone to describe the shapes they found. Talk about which objects are flat (two-dimensional) and which ones are solid (three-dimensional).
